Finally I got myself into gear and organised our activity advent calendar for this year. To resolve the fact that I was already a day late I opted to make the first activity - 'plan and construct an advent calendar'. Cunning, yes?
Each activity lives in it's own little origami cup with the appropriate number on the front. I am still undecided about whether each cup should have little handles so that I can hang them from the wall. This too shall soon be resolved. Pictures tomorrow.
Handle issue resolved. After hanging them all on a broom handle to facilitate the depositing of jelly beans (see below) the advent cups have now been pinned along the wall in the kitchen, under the noticeboard. Between you and me, I am very pleased with how lovely they look.

I can't wait to see the pictures. It's going to be so much more impressive than mine! I whipped it together late on the 30th, a last minute project constructed from newsagency-issue tiny envelopes with silver stars, red hearts and numbers stuck on them, put into a treasure chest. Our first activity was 'dance like crazy to music' and today it's 'go out for icecream' - bring it on! xk

Great little cups -- did you find the instructions online?

Indeed. They're very easy to make - suitable for kids even.

I've started making some of these cups to give with chocolates inside as little gifts for the girls in my preggers group. It's addictive! Can't stop making cups!
