And months go by. And this poor sad blog just sits here and costs me money. I want to get rid of it but hate to lose all the precious entries that I have made over the years. I want to put it together in a blurb book but something about my poor sad laptop isn't compatible with their fancy software. I resolve to look into it. To organise the book from a different computer, but I never seem to make the time. And so months go by.
We're all sick at the moment. First Richard, then Ella, then Arky and me. Then I got sick again, then Ella, Arky and now Richard. We are on the Winter rollercoaster.
Despite the snot and sorrow we headed out for an outing to Wascoe Siding today. Miniature trains carry passengers around a cute little track, complete with tunnel, bridge, waterfall and fish pond. We met Krissie, Edie and Jude there and all had a great time. It's just a perfect place for little kids... and grown men with a total
thing for miniature trains.
When I got back and looked at the pictures I realised that Ella must've been feeling pretty crappy. She had a fun time, but she was quite sombre, and all the pictures seemed to capture that mood.

The afternoon should have dissolved into disaster considering Ella was feeling so bad and Arky refused to nap after his exciting train-filled morning... but it was fine. We shopped for fruit and veg, mucked around in the yard and watched the 'postcard from Asia' special feature on our latest Wiggles DVD. It was a behind the scenes look at a Wiggles tour that was amusing and confusing. I was amused, the kids were very confused as they don't seem to be able to grasp the fact that The Wiggles are actually real people.
I talked to Rich about it afterwards and mentioned that Greg's transition from skivvy to civvies was pretty favourable. Rich then said that Greg had won Cleo bachelor of the year some time ago. I had to google this to prove him wrong (yes, he was wrong. It was Anthony who won the award and amusingly, after he accepted the award the other Wiggles sung 'Hot Potato' in his honour!). Anyway, I also learned that there was originally a FIFTH member of the group but that he left the band just before the first album was released because he didn't feel comfortable being in a children's group!
Oh dear. I googled him and found this. I love how he repeatedly insists he's not bitter!
And so this 'train' of thought entry now ends. In the end it was an entertaining day.
