Mother/Daughter Wars!

Hello bad drawing. Some days it works - other days no amount of pencil and rubber can do any good. And yes! I have to admit that I even did a pencil rough. Yowser.

It's a funny story though. Oh and I have to add that when Ella bought home some work from school a few days later she had written 'Jacob likes to play with lightsabers' and it had been corrected by one of her teachers to read 'Jacob likes to play with light savers.'

When Ella was a babe I started to try and draw a four-panel comic about our life every week. I kept it up for a while before being completely overwhelmed by the whole baby thing. Until recently I thought I must have lost them all in one of our moves but the other day I found an ENTIRE box of old, forgotten comics and all the four panel ones from 2003 were in there.

Much excitement. This is my favourite from the bunch as it brings back such powerful memories. I love that comics like this help me to record moments that, in the scheme of things, are insignificant but really, it's moments like this that distinguish a good day from a bad one.

Hello, I'm back! And I'm on top of the world after seeing that Adam has done the comic meme that I tagged him for and it is SO wonderful.

So, so wonderful!

I really hope that Claire, Adi, Bowb and Jeff are suitably inspired. And yes Jeff, I know you won't do it. Can't blame a girl for trying :)

No comic from me tonight, sorry (Kirsty). Air Crash investigations is proving to be far too compelling.

Ella did another one though!

The lovely Kirsty, one of my three loyal readers, tagged me to do the Some Facts About Me meme and hinted that I might like do do a comic version of it! I thought that was an excellent idea so I have done the first question (What were you doing ten years ago?) as a comic and am now turning that into a comic meme.

Back to basics comic meme

Draw a ten panel comic about what you were doing ten years ago. Put pen straight to paper - no pencil, no computer, no planning, no starting again if you make a mistake. Simply draw, scan, publish. Tag some people who you'd like to see do the meme too. Oh and if you want to do it even if you haven't been tagged you are most welcome!
